Bloody Spin The Wheel Make The Deal Rematch Added To Xmas Cluster****

El Salvador’s La Sombra vs. Former CWE Champion “Bring The Pain” Matt Fairlane
It was a very interesting turn of events at Spin The Wheel Make The Deal at Rookie’s Sports Bar almost a month ago as long time friends La Sombra and Matt Fairlane were supposed to team together in a feel good “Steeltown Showcase” and very rare appearance in this day and age for the semi retired veterans to promote the much anticipated “Steeltown Special” in Selkirk on January 27th.
When news broke that their masked opponents Mr. Nasty and Samuel for reasons still unknown didn’t make it to the building that night instead of scrapping this special feature the two former Steeltown Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champions agreed to have a friendly match to promote the history of Selkirk wrestling and the big show coming up in the New Year.
With every match being contested under Spin The Wheel Make The Deal the wheel was spun before the bell rang and the match would be contested under Iron Man Rules where the man with the most decisions in 30 minutes would be declared the winner.
What started off as a showcase of sportsmanship and athleticism very quickly escalated into something more aggressive and definitely more physical as each man traded falls.
With the match at a tie and ten minutes still on the clock Matt Fairlane stunned the audience and most definitely La Sombra by what appeared to be intentionally driving him down dangerously on his head and face which instantly shattered and broke La Sombra’s nose and the ring pooling with blood rapidly.
Due to the sheer amount of blood loss happening as quickly as it was the official decided to call the match in favor of protecting La Sombra and awarded the match to Fairlane as Sombra was helped to the back by management and other members of the locker room.
Matt Fairlane who perhaps in the greatest shape we can ever remember seeing him in grabbed the microphone with intensity and explained that it appears that some people may have forgot that he was the most dangerous and dominant champion in CWE history and he just reminded anyone who had forgotten why that was. Much to the surprise of the locker room and fans Fairlane explained this match and the one in Selkirk were’t the only shows you can expect to see him at as “Bring The Pain” is officially going on record saying he will be reclaiming what was rightfully his, the CWE Championship!
However La Sombra has been cleared by doctors and although we are sure he would love a shot at the CWE Championship and will be competing for an opportunity at one in the Rumble To Remember on January 12th he has made it very clear that although he planned to only compete in these two matches as well he isn’t going anywhere until he personally and physically takes it up with Matt Fairlane for trying to end his career!
These two men both have a chip on their shoulder and what appears to be a point to prove and they will look to prove it Friday at CWE’s Christmas Cluster****!
